Hope Church Update

Thanks to Pastor Donny Smith in Arlington, Texas, we now have “Hope Church” on the bus along with the address for the church and contact number.

There was about 100 in attendance at Hope Church this Sunday. Bro Martin preached about God being our help. He shared about where the word “help” was first used in the Bible. In Genesis 2:18, God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” This was a wonderful opportunity for Bro. Martin to share about God’s original design for the family in contrast to what is being considered normal today. It is 1 man + 1 woman = for life.

Bro. Martin has spent much time at the hospital this week. A volunteer at the Downtown Soup Kitchen shower house, who also attends Hope Church regularly, has been in the hospital with a serious surgery and complications. He is a Christian, but his wife is struggling with an addiction. Bro. Martin has had several opportunities throughout this week to speak the truth into her life and connect with their family. Praise God it seems that he is doing better now, and we are praying for complete victory for his home.
